For Colorado, this election has revealed a kind of sea change in these parts. In fact, while last week we lived in a red state, we now live in a blue state. So blue that we have a Democratic congresswoman, senator, and govenor. All this change must be just because Phil and I moved here.

So we actually got to go to an Obama campaign rally. On Sunday October 26, 2008. Thanks to our friend Matt for sending us these photos he took at the event. First of all: Obama is amazing. He is such a gifted speaker and I really believe that he is the hope of my generation. Here is the break down of the event.
This is the line. For all you reading from SoCal, I know this looks like Friday night at the Irvine Spectrum, but for us here in Northern Colorado, this is a mob scene. 50,000 people showed up. That is roughly one of every 10 people in Northern Colorado. Dang.
As much diversity as you can see in Northern Colorado, we saw it at the rally at Colorado State University. It was a gorgeous fall afternoon and the golden ash trees sprinkled their leaves across the huge assembly.
Go Rams!
Phil and I were like little kids we were so excited that the soon to be President elect came to us. He came to our town! That’s Phil and I along the bottom there walking toward the already enormous crowd.
